Hello Fellow Club members

We are booked in at The Fat Lamb, Ravenstonedale for our Spring Break 2023, for some splendid scenery on magnificent roads, some great food and some lovely company.

https://www.fatlamb.co.uk/

Our reserved dates are Monday 8th May, staying for three nights on a dinner, bed and breakfast basis, departing Thursday 11th May. It’s a week earlier than our “usual” dates because another car club have nabbed our week!

If you would like to reserve a room, please call the Fat Lamb 015396 23242 and leave your deposit direct with them - an understandable sign of the times that deposits are now £100 - with the balance due on departure.

PAY DEPOSIT BY 30/12/22 TO FIX PRICE AT £480 DOUBLE OR £360 SINGLE

For obvious reasons, the hotel have not been able to give us an absolute fixed price per night quite yet, but this year is £150 per couple per night, including a 3 course meal each evening and a good choice of cooked breakfasts each morning. The owners anticipate a price rise of less than 10% for next year, and have promised me an absolute price by the end of the year. I’m sure we all understand the dilemma hospitality premises find themselves in currently.

Single occupancy of a room is currently half the couple’s price (£75) plus a £30 surcharge per night.

I will confirm prices as soon as possible.

For those of you new to the Fat Lamb, it sits on the border of the Lake District and Yorkshire Dales, near to Kirby Stephen, and is owned by a fellow car nut who has extensive knowledge of all the “must do” roads and places accessible within a day’s comfortable driving. Routes are all provided, and have breaks throughout the day for coffee, lunch, cake and all the other essential survival requirements.

Paul the owner has a well tooled-up garage with a lift on site and is always happy to assist if required.

So I can keep track of who’s going and keep you all up to date as the trip draws a bit closer, I would appreciate an email or text letting me know you have paid your deposit.

Looking forward to more fun and friendship with you all.

Rachael & Tony
